Green Anise

Return

This is the fruit of the "Pimpinella anisum" which was the original use of the plant in infusions.
It is harvested after flowering in July and August and is then dried out of sunlight. The fruit contains an essential oil known to help digestion.

It is often associated with fennel which has similar properties and helps treat digestive disorders as well as bad coughs.
